The newAnMed Health Cannon Auxiliary Announces

 Dr. John Harden Scholarship Scholarship

Congratulations to Lauren Denton, 2017 John Harden Scholarship Recipient. Cannon Memorial Auxiliary awarded Ms. Denton a $1000.00 scholarship towards her tuition costs to Campbell University School of Pharmacy. 2017 marks the twenty-first year that the Auxiliary has awarded the scholarship to a deserving student entering into or continuing their education in the medical field. Lauren will work on a dual degree in PharmD/MSPH program. Lauren received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Presbyterian College and is eager to begin the next chapter of medical career.

Cannon Memorial Auxiliary offers an annual $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior and/or a member of our community already in the medical profession or continuing their education in the medical field.  Recipients have their scholarship money paid directly to the school of their choice. 2017 marks twenty-one years of awarding this scholarship by the Auxiliary volunteers.

Community support for the scholarship is encouraged.  Donations can be made in honor or memory of an individual and specified for the Dr. John Harden  Scholarship.  An acknowledgement of the donation will be made to the donor and family of the person honored.  The checks need to be written to the CMH Auxiliary, and scholarship noted.

The new 2018 application will be available in January 2018.

In addition to the completed application, the Cannon Memorial Auxiliary requests 3 references and an essay of no less than 100 words.  For high school applicants, only one reference may be associated with faculty or staff at their school.
